To see it bloom freely, uncontrollably and beautifully

My loving family, my friends so dear to my heart,

This past week I lived something completely insane… As you may have seen on Alex‘s or Jeff‘s Facebook, we were doing a massive video and photoshoot. A 3 day marathon for a VERY special project. I won’t tell you much because we will reveal the secret about it during the next Bla Bla Bla the live show March 11th, so I want you to enjoy the surprise… BUT I can tell you it’s the very first time I have worked in collaboration with Alex on something other than music;) You know how he is an intense person right? Well, ever since collaborating with him on this special project I have realized even more how this intensity and passion is rooted in his love for people and his commitment to always go all the way. He often says “if we are to make something, let’s do it our way, no limits, no established rules except to be true to ourselves and to do it with love.” I realize now that by opening my cherished project and involving others, it has allowed the whole project to reach a completely different dimension, to shine in a way I never thought possible, allowing everyone to expose their talent and to even discover hidden treasures, it allowed me to learn, to grow… it allowed me also to experience so much love as I see people giving their best towards something I cherish and it allowed me also to pour out love toward these same people, learning to serve them, to give them my best, to take my place in their life…

I was also so surprised when Alex said to Jeff while we were in our third day of shooting: “Hey bro, we got to share with our people what is going on here, so they can see and feel this is all for them too.” Next thing you know, Jeff is going around with his laptop open with a live video chat open on our Secret Family Cult Club page to show LIVE what was going on, just like that, like a little surprise out of the blue, just because we thought of you… I was so impressed again by their spontaneity and creative ideas to connect with others… brilliant!

As the shooting marathon was finishing, I took time to sit on one of the church’s benches in the studio to read your comments on last week’s blog… and everything made sense. We are connected, we live things together, because we think of each other, we decide to reach out to one another, to give our best, to share our heart and thoughts, to love one another in actions and words and everything we do is an opportunity we can take to either stay alone or to open our hands, share without keeping any control and then see it bloom freely, uncontrollably and beautifully… your comments on my last blog touched me deep inside… your words of course, but I guess the proof that we do build something together is also deeply touching for me…

Here are some of your words that moved me…

Dina:”If we allow society or these boxes to define who we are we no longer are able to be open to our own true essence, that little voice deep inside of us that is our truth. These boxes are allowed to be a part of us but must never be the whole of us.”

I am still so surprised to learn about myself…and you’re so right that our true essence is something we discover if we are open and sensitive… such a good challenge not to numb ourselves or protect our hearts so much, but to stay available, sensitive, embracing all our emotions and even the emotions of others…

Cassandra: “I’m someone who doesn’t fit into any box”

That can be scary for many people to be different, but once we realize we can radiate our own color, we can add to anyone’s life with our unique love, then fitting the box isn’t of any use… living and loving becomes the only goal!

Samantha: “when you can just let go of those ideals of how things “should” be and just be real that’s when you open yourself up to the realness of a relationship.”

Gosh… it took me sooo long to understand that and still I am working hard to live it!

Elizabeth: “who knows what wonders we will discover here together!”

wonders… miracles… simple joys… a connection I never even imagined possible… aren’t we touching something incredible?!

Max: “what I liked about the Digital Date is that you guys are able to accept that you are ugly… talk about it… And from that move forward!”

Being true to ourselves is a gift we offer each other and ourselves first , but I have to admit I can touch it and accept that gift with the strength of the love you guys surround me with otherwise I wouldn’t be able to even dare looking at myself for real.

Sals: “I think you just inspired my next photoshoot!!! Thank you for sparking my creativity!!!”

Really? I am so amazed and in awe of how we can influence each other into something so positive and creative… to push each other into our own unique dream and purpose… I FOR SURE want to see the fruit of this creativity and I’m sure everyone reading this blog too! right?:)

Kathy: “When we express love, it happens that it comes right back in our face, and this is probably the worst thing to accept and the most painful one. This is a reason why I let very few people get in my life, letting more virtual links than real ones to protect myself in a way…”

To love is to risk that is so true… I used to live for “safety” and found myself dying inside until I decided to risk my life and love for real, leaving behind my protections… I do cry more, I do laugh more though, I do suffer at times, but I ALWAYS feel alive.

Julie: “you described well the SFCC… I would add that it is also a place where people are opening up to each other, exposing who they are with no fear, reaching out for support or just to be heard. For me, it’s a place very fulfilling in my relationships… on a personal level too!

Like the guys are always saying :it’s up to all of US to define this place” not so much with words but by BEING in it, defining it with our own self!

MelRocK: “When I learned to receive love of others the way they wanted to give it, I found the real love I needed so much and the courage to love even more.”

I’m so glad I have my whole life to learn this!

Aurélie: “We can feel the “living room” spirit and be happy to be together, spending a marvelous time”

We always look forward to be with you, to know we have this deep desire to connect with one another, this is a proof of love!

Franca: “I do not put the people I love and those who love me in boxes… in my heart there is enough love for everyone.

I believe it! Our heart, your heart can be an amazing refuge for many people Franca… And I think it’s a wonderful responsibility to know you have that power!

Yukiko: “We are the galaxy, we have different stars for each one of us, and every time the stars bump into each other, it creates brilliant light.”

I love the word “bump”! so many times we try to avoid confrontation, close relationships, intimacy, “bumping”!llol but the more we risk that interaction, the more we do shine and inspire each other… thank you sis for shining and bumping into all of us!!!;)

Nesti: “The way to reach my dream seems not so easy, but I’m trying…with all my courage I ever have.”

Because it’s not easy, you develop courage. I’m happy it’s not easy for any of us, so we can develop character, courage, determination, and most of all, because it pushes us to reach out to others so we are not alone anymore in our dream…

I’m excited again to read you this week!!!!

ah, home sweet home!!! as you know, home is where the heart is, and a huge piece of my heart is deeply rooted in this YFE community – I’ve learned so much already, but thank goodness, as you say, dear Isa, we have our whole lives to learn this priceless of gift of giving and receiving love.. so risky, a path so full of peril and certain pain, but as Yukiko says so beautifully and wisely, each time we “bump” into each other, it creates brilliant light! Isolation starves our souls and robs the world of the light we hold within ourselves – the light that is our essence alone. The courage we gain here in this place where hearts are united in a desire to acknowledge and discover the beauty of each other, can transform our hearts and our worlds – a new brilliance shining through the spheres of influence that surround each of us… Magic miracles indeed!!

thank you again AMAZING Isa and family…home indeed.. love always

I had the chance to assist the special and spontaneous digital date… what an amazing moment! To feel the passion and intensity… When I received my SFCC package I couldnt believe all the details that were put into it… and everything by YFE is like that. It’s a way of life and it’s inspiring for me to push myself further when I do something. I can’t wait to know more about this project because I know that I will be blown away as I am everytime I learn about a new project from you guys!

You still amaze me at how you look at life, and how the family views things! Like the comment on bumping, instead of getting angry when someone bumps into us- we should smile and say hello. Life is to short to be angry with others, this is what the family has shown not only by the music but more by your actions and how you want the world to be. I look forward to the next Bla show too and what special events are going to take place!
