Red Crown Crane: Capture The Essence…

It’s such a mystery how we’re linked together, don’t you think? Somehow, sometime, somewhere on this digital sea we met and since that day, we decided that we would create for each other a place in our hearts. This place for you in my heart is as big as my commitment… it has the warmth of my pouring love… it’s a safe place to go in times of need… it’s a life giving place every time you cross its doors. The place you created for me in your heart has lifted me up so much that one of my dreams came true as we released the Red Crown Crane Jewelry Collection. For the past 8 months, I have worked on the design and have been crafting this Jewelry Collection with the incredible collaboration of Alex Foster and Kaori Uchiyama, as well as the support of the whole Your Favorite Enemies band, crew and of course you, our family. Now the Collection is born… and as we get to share more about it, I believe the best start is for us to not only “understand” what Red Crown Crane is all about, but to capture its essence and paint with it the walls of this wonderful place we have created for each other. I can’t wait to share more about it with you and get your own perceptions and feelings… will you share them with me?

Read it now…and I will dwell in this open heart of yours, as you are now again invited to visit and stay, as long as you want, in mine… 🙂

I love you

-Miss Isabel

I just read the description of the project that you referenced dear isabel, the descriptions of each item on the website (they ARE very inspiring – i agree, Chris!) and the comments posted so far along with your blog. As with every YFE endeavor, there is much more here than immediately meets the eye (and what meets the eye is wonderful!), and that is partly due to your willingness to “let it go” – to offer it up to others for their own definition and interpretation, as Alex said. That takes courage and tremendous love of others – a desire to bless and to exhale through your own spirits to create wind beneath the wings of others – can you see us flying, the light in our eyes growing brighter with every wing stroke toward our futures? Love is indeed the source of all life I think, and just as Alex says, experiencing the reality of it can “bring us back to life and lead us home”. Your description of this “digital sea” that YFE has created and our decisions to create within our own hearts places for each other is represented so beautifully by the Red Crane Project. It was the love that was birthed in this family that urged you and all of us to reach out to our Japanese brothers and sisters through the unity of support that rose up during CMW 2011 and through the Hope project. And it was love that carried you to the Minami Sariku Cho Volunteer Center where you yourselves were transformed in interaction with the vivid faith and hope you found there – and in sharing your experience there, your own transformation has been spreading to others. The Red Crane Project seems a powerful vehicle to continue sharing what you have learned and taken into yourselves. I’m looking forward to the interviews very much!! Your interviews always amaze me with the depth of thought and heart you reveal – actually everything you do, does that!

Thank you Alex and Isabel and Kaori and all who have been involved in incarnating this dream – the people of the Minami Sariku Cho Volunteer Center especially!

love and prayers always!! mom e

This project truely amazes me because of all the hard work and dedication behind every piece and every detail! The collection was not built on first trail basis but rather continually worked and reworked till it was just right, till it embodied the true spirit you wanted to project. I will be more than proud to wear this jewelry! Knowing all the hard work and heart put into every step! I am very proud of you Miss Isabel, Karoi san and Alex for going all the way with this project. I can only imagine how you all must feel releasing this collection to the world!

I took the time to read the description that each item of the collection has been given and this one is my favorite:

“Fairy Crane” has been called after the Red Crowned Crane mythology of cranes living 1000 years, turning them into a representation of immortality… “just as the incarnation of a dream defines eternity”.

I agree, dreams are eternal…This is what I want to wear to incarnate the message of the project…People in Japan, here in America…Doesn’t matter where we are…The whole Red Crown Crane project and its evolution through time is a perfect example of it and I’ll be proud to wear its items!!
Miss Isabel and Alex, we are all with you!!
It is really touching to see you working as a team! Your creativeness and passion are a wonderful combination!!

I just read the description of the project… I love the ending. After building the dream, the idea, the materialization of it all, you still had to let go in order for your idea not to belong to you anymore, but for the cause you’re serving. Very powerful image, especially the fact that it didn’t brake. A true testimony that even if so fragile, we can stay strong in the storms of life.

Exactly what you wanted to honour and what you saw through your journey in Japan.
    Very inspiring!
Thank you for sharing your talent, your creativity and heart with the world!
